I still remember them clearly. Epic battle reports, a Warhammer battle report (Skull Pass), and Blood Angels vs Alaitoc Eldar. This was the end of Rogue Trader and the first boxed set for 40K was about to drop. Orks, marines, cardboard dreads, and shitty terrain. I bought it, and I loved it. I was hooked. Game Over Man.
That was about 30 years ago. From visiting a little shop called Pendragon, to working as a Red Shirt, power gaming, through to my current status as a casual gamer with the love on the game and the lore. My army collections are vast and uncounted, my painted armies numbers much less.
However 30 years is a hefty investment of time and money, and with this blog I hope to document my attempts to paint, my desire to forge a narrative with my armies and thus bringing them to life, and of course the battles in which they find themselves.
As with all things sometimes my efforts and enthusiasm will wax and wane, however at the end of all things, in this hobby and in life, we are always willing to suffer an acceptable loss.
